There were two action items which came out of the very first sessions I attended (attended one - buttfly-ed the other):

1) From Plan Implementation:
Obtain attach and obtain or link to these documents on the agenda camp wiki so they could be resources to all of us - Adriano has started the process, if anyone has the rest? Mark?
Once available, I am challenging myself to review these documents to see if there way we, at ATW, could incorporate any of the suggested action items into our different projects.

2) From the Comparison of Windsor to the 10 Peer Groups, I challenged myself to incorporate the awareness of Windsor's lagging indicator - we ranked last in the comparison in our ability to keep more University graduates in our community - into ATW planning to be on the lookout for opportunities to address issue.

I was inspired by Kevin's anecdote about what the Univiersity community in Philidephia did when they were not getting students to settle and launch their careers in Philly once they graduated...

- They assigned a mentor to each Freshman student to be their 'welcome wagon' - meeting them at the station and helping them get settled in their dorms - as well as their on going mentor and 'community connection' throughout their term of study as they pursued and completed their degrees.

This practice increased the number of university students who decided to settle in the community because they had developed a connection to the community.

I was inspired because I felt this solution was doable, and one which ATW could contribute to for the fall of 2009.
