Understanding by the public may be because of lack of knowledge or lack of wanting to know.

From a farmer's perspective, they don't know how the food gets from farm to table - the understanding has been broken.

Education is the beginning, kids just don't get access to understanding to learning effectively.  Dr.'s don't advocate holistic nutrition.

Trends in food distribution is out of control.  Who's in charge of our food and where is it coming from.  Are people aware of where food is coming from and what goes into it.  Competition in the market

(Ethanol issue) Yield of corn has quadroupled, so the high yield doesn't take away from land.  Introducing how to grow produced that have a high yield without taking away from land for other growing.

Freedom of choice - has gone to far.  Balance of responsible spending and application of what is important.  No enforcement, education is necessary based on this.

Education is fundamental.  Understanding how to utilize whole foods into their lives.

Farming a lot of acres, minimum man power and lots of machinery - doesn't meet profitability.  Organics vs. traditional farm workings.  Traditional farming is from dictation of what needs are.  Smaller business of farming needs to meet certain needs for profitability.  As a farmer, you want crop your entire land for productivity.

What value does food have?  Can we attract sufficient understanding of  sustainable and productive food to feed the population?  Person choice will dictate what is demanded.  It's our responsibility to raise healthy and viable children to room towards a viable future.

Difference b/t traditional food vs. organic - are they truly different? - from a politicial view point - health care understanding what pesticides and toxicity have to play a role in this.

Neglect of information of learning about what good food is.  Parents don't teach their children, because they don't have the knowledge themselves.

Conventional farmers are making choices so that they can continue to farm the land to produces and that is profitable.

We are an experiment - we don't know or understand the ramifications of what we are doing to the food and our earth.

How do we encourage people of limited means to actually make the choice for better food.    We don't look after the reason's why people are sick.   How do you motivate people to make good food choices, beyond education?

We are what we eat, but what we eat is what we are.  Certain types of food can evolve.  Emotional or mental aspect can play a role with what good food is, which can lead to food that the body can refuse.
