G1-How do we increase the labour supply in the agricultural industry?

It is a big challenge for farmers to solve these issues.

• New Farmer's Project by the National Farmer's Union 
• Start early in high school with promoting the industry, ie. agriculture in the classroom
• If minimum wage was increased would it attract people? Depends on if they are doing it just for a job or for the love
• What if we increased the seasonal agricultural worker's program? - may work but creates other challenges
• The EI program needs a bridge between being laid off and coming back to work. ie, training in agriculture.
• Workfare program - bring workers to the ag industry by teaching them skills to work in the field and perhaps they will attain work in
