I2-Should Society compensate me for coyotes killing sheep? From $1Table of contentsNo headersproposed by Chris Kennedy
Or should society compensate agriculture for wild life damage , eg. deer damage in corn fields , calves being killed and eaten . Coyotes are not native to Ontario but invaded about 1900. Wild life damage is very costly to agriculture and can reduce agricultures productivity . Some spieces of wild life have been introduced by MNR . OMAFRA pays compensation for agriculture but MNR is responsible for wildlife . Would it be better for management and compensation to be controlled by one ministry . Place all responsibilty under one ministry . Wild Geese populations are out of control, damage crops and their droppings damage the environment because there are so many . Need more options to control . and more responsibilty born by govt agencies Compensation for things like coyote proof fencing around lambing areas . Need to consider impacts of all sectors when developing legislation . by MNR such as Elk in the Bancroft area . Compensation to agriculture .
