I am the Executive Director for the Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy. The Centre was created in 2008 by Professional Engineers Ontario to better serve and protect the public interest by engaging the engineering profession in developing public policy. We focus on developing policy papers and related research, holding conferences and engaging decision-makers to bring the collective learning of engineers to bear on solving society’s technical challenges.

I hold a PhD in political science.  Most recently, I was Associate Provost, Policy and Planning, at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where my responsibilities included liaising with a wide variety of government agencies and outside bodies; strategic, operational and financial planning; institutional research; resource allocation and budgeting; staffing; governance and policy development; government and inter-institutional relations; and space and facilities.

I have also held senior positions at York University, including Director, Enrolment Research and Policy Analysis, and Senior Policy Analyst.
