I'm Michael Day, a professional engineer located in the Owen Sound area providing information technology consulting services.

I've long been an advocate and user of alternative energy solutions, and use of sustainable construction and finishing materials.   In light of burgeoning public acceptance of these materials and technologies,  I've launched a Sustainable Materials and Alternative Energy Integration Solutions practice.

There were two agenda topics I proposed and moderated at the AgendaCamp:

The Move to Repairability: Should we be focusing more on repairing the things that we buy, or is repairing things a thing of the past given our present lifestyle and economy?

Will the Green Energy Act put a new face on the Ontario Economy or is it me-too-ism and too little, too late?

Hi Michael.

I thought your repair topic was interesting, even though I didn't get a chance to sit in for that one. In KW there is a group called the Working Centre; they have a bicycle repair program as well as a computer repair program, you can find them online. Are there programs like this in Owen Sound? I thought you might be interested in sharing ideas with them especially if you are still in town, unfortunately the two programs are not open on mondays but the working center itself is still going.
