Summary: we all agreed that we consider the economy and the environement to have a synergetic relationship, and that we all feel that responsibility needs to be taken -- by consumers, by citizens -- for the environment. Generally, social change requires education and communication. But social media can help -- social media empower young people, they personalize and atomize large issues, and they connect like-minds. They conflate marketing, fundraising, and networking in ways that are effective for propelling social change.

Some questions: what will be the next supplement to social media? When will social media not be new? How long do social paradigm shifts that are supported by networked communication take to happen?
