At the Waterloo Agenda Camp I asked the following question:

How do we engage youth to participate in the agricultural economy?

Summary of Themes in encouraging youth to farm:
Encourage the rethinking of farming. Small is viable.
Plug youth into programs such as Kraft and Farmlink
Connect high school coop/volunteer programs to farms.
Capitalize on the trends of organic, quality, and local. (to make farming profitable)
Foster the development of farming cooperatives/youth farming cooperatives.
Extend farming into processing through cooperative ventures.
