"social justice and environmental responsibility vs manufacturer's responsibility"
- Disregard by governments of the local community of sandwich west, on the choice of the new crossing to USA.
- Current governments are not exersizing social responsibility to the people of Windsor choosing monetary concerns over the health and quality of life of the people.
- MOE as the government of Ontario as a stake holder is not even enforcing environmental standards in the solution, in order to get the project to come to fruition. There is data presented and/or massaged in order to sell the DRIC as a solution. It all about the money and not health of the community.
The technology exist to mitigate the effects of either solutions on the people
- Local Manufacturing sector as a stake holder in their access to the USA is living in apathy. They should have a stronger voice, tho have their needs met to move products across in a cost effective way.
- Windsor constituency as been apathetic about the process and the government have capitalized lack of understand of issues by the people.
-The health care cost resulting from the chosen solution should be factored in the formula and it has been largely ignored. Windsor area has already some of the highest cancer rates and respiratory problem.
- Windsor West Truck watch speaking for the people have been largely marginalized as a key stake holder.
